ILAM RENOVATION

This renovation of a 1990’s brick home in Ilam, Christchurch brought a fresh, modern touch while preserving its character. We transformed the kitchen and two bathrooms into sleek, functional spaces, incorporating subtle details and a clean use of colour to add personality and warmth.
We worked with the existing Rimu elements and enhanced them by introducing timber flooring through the kitchen & dining areas and into the hallway.
We paired Dezignatek profiled cabinetry in the kitchen with plain fronts to highlight the floor to ceiling joinery and included an engineered stone ledge behind the cooktop to create a functional yet stylish feature.
We kept the bathrooms crisp and light, but introduced feature tiles to inject colour & personality into each space. Working with small spaces we were challenged to come up with the best layout of each room that looked good too.
We worked through every design choice closely with our clients, creating a home that feels both contemporary and welcoming; giving it the much-needed facelift it deserved.
